The Inextinguishable Lamp
Model a lamp based on the reference image shown below using NURBS only I took the following steps to model the lampshade: -Imported an image of the reference image onto the front-z view. -Set this image to display through camera to avoid seeing the image plane on the perspective view. - Created a curve for the body of the lamp in the front z perspective by overlapping the curve points along the edge of the body in the reference image. -Completed the entire 'curve' and then revolved it around the Y axis. - Then created two circles for the lamp shade top (according to the reference diagram). -One of these circles (the smaller one) was moved to the top to align with the top of the shade. -Selected both the circles from bottom to top and lofted to create the shade. -Added the base nurb cube and added it according to the reference plane. Essentially I made use of the revolve and the loft tool to complete this lampshade.
