GOAL: investigate how different perceptual information channels of haptics and vision affect how users perceive size in immersive virtual reality.

Description: We designed an immersive virtual reality simulation incorporating the use of tangible dials and had users interact with the dials in the simulation using either just vision, haptics or both and then report their perceived size of the dials. A study was conducted using this apparatus and the results inform us about how different information is used to perceive the size of such tangible entities in VR.
